AT&T hacker ‘Weev’ sentenced to over 3 years in jail for stealing more than 100,000 email addresses of iPad users
Andrew Auernheimer, formerly of Fayetteville, Ark., was tried in New Jersey. and calls himself an online ‘troll.’ He hacked into AT&T’s servers and stole the email addresses of Apple tablet users, in New York City Mayor Michael Bloomberg, then-White House chief of staff Rahm Emanuel, film mogul Harvey Weinstein and other celebrities. Auernheimer was defiant in court and called his sentencing shameful.
